The closing ceremony of the 2023 Lingyange Spring Seminar Camp

On the morning of May 19 , the graduation ceremony of the Spring Seminar Camp of Lingyange was held at Hengqin Financial Media Center. After the previous study, practical operation and project proposal reporting, 12 college students successfully graduated.

At the graduation ceremony, Albert Li, the CEO of Lingyang, deliveered a speech, thanking relevant departments, partner enterprises for their strong support to the camp, as well as universities and interns for their trust in Lingyange. He also thanked all the lecturers for their hard work.

"The wind and clouds rise from our generation, and years are hurried in the world." Albert Li said that the chip industry needs young people to pass on the torch and continue to strive. Lingyange is committed to training basic engineers in chip design for the industry, and solving the plight of insufficient professional talents in the field of integrated circuits in China. In the past three years since its establishment, Lingyange has held multiple spring and summer camps, trained nearly 100 interns, and many interns have entered the field of integrated circuits and become new forces. It is hoped that the interns will take graduation as a new starting point, identify their own goals, plan their own development path, and contribute to China's chip industry.

Representatives Zhang Wei, Yiruiyu, and Zhang Miaoxiang took the stage separately to share their experiences and feelings of the camp on behalf of each group. Zhang Wei, a graduate student majoring in hotel management at the Macau University of Science and Technology, said that team members are very united and full of energy. Everyone has different majors and expertise, and their advantages have been maximized in the camp. As a non-engineering student, she has rotated through multiple departments including the chairman's office, human resources, finance, and marketing, and has gained an in-depth understanding of company operations. She hopes to enter a high-tech company after graduation; Yiruiyu is a student majoring in computer science at the Macau University of Science and Technology. He expressed his gratitude to Lingyan Pavilion for providing internship opportunities. He believes that the camp's courses are very rich and the lecturers are very professional. Everyone has also participated in specific project practices and has made great achievements; Zhang Miaoxiang is a senior student majoring in integrated circuit design and integration system at Guangdong University of Technology. She said deeply that she had learned knowledge and skills that cannot be learned from books in Lingyange . Everyone has studied the knowledge of IC-related industry chains in Lingyange, from front-end to back-end, to manufacturing and testing, which has broadened their horizons.

This camp lasted for three months from February 20 to May 19 . During this period, 12 undergraduate and master's students participated in morning news reading, professional course learning, project practice, academic exchange and enterprise visits, project proposal reporting, etc. Through learning from industry experts at close range and receiving guidance from professional R&D personnel, interns have gained a deeper understanding of the chip industry and have further improved their professional skills. They also have a clear picture for their future career planning.

After the preliminary project proposal reporting, the camp selected the first, second and third place teams; according to the daily performance of interns in the camp, outstanding interns were selected. The graduation ceremony awarded prizes to teams and individuals. After professional and systematic evaluation, 12 interns completed all courses in the camp, passed the project assessment, and successfully graduated.

According to the 2021 Semiconductor Talent Market Report published by China's talent research institutions, in 2020, the national semiconductor recruitment demand increased by 53.7% year on year, and there was a talent gap of 162000 people in the semiconductor industry. With the rapid development of the semiconductor industry and the continuous expansion of application fields, there is an increasing demand for semiconductor talents globally and in China. According to reports from semiconductor industry research institutions SEMI, there will be a talent gap of more than 1 million semiconductor talents worldwide by 2025. Among them, process engineers are the most scarce talents with a gap of 35% and 32% respectively.

With the conclusion of the 2023 Spring Seminar Camp of Lingyange, Lingyange has also launched the recruitment work for the 2023 Summer Seminar Camp. According to the arrangement, the summer camp will last for one month from July 10 to August 11 . It will be mainly conducted at Hengqin headquarters R&D center with synchronization in Shenzhen, Shanghai, Taiwan.
