On December 29, more than 20 entrepreneurs of the Leading ones Class in the Integrated Circuit Industry and Application of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology gathered in Hengqin to participate in the "Integrated Circuit Industry and Policy Publicity and Exchange Activity" jointly organized by Hengqin Semiconductor Industry Association, Zhuhai Advanced Integrated Circuit Research Institute, and Lingyangechip Technology Co., Ltd. They visited on-site, conducted field research, and held discussions to understand the current development status and business environment of the integrated circuit industry in Hengqin, and conduct industrial docking exchanges with local semiconductor .enterprises.
At the Guangdong-Macao Integrated Circuit Design Industrial Park, Zheng Jun, the director of the Science and Technology and Talent Department of Hengqin Economic Development Bureau, delivered a talent policy publicity. It was introduced that in order to promote the settlement of enterprises and talents in Hengqin, enterprises that meet the conditions in the cooperation zone are subject to a reduced enterprise income tax rate of 15%, which will help incorporate all industries that are conducive to the moderate diversified development of Macau economy into the policy scope; for enterprises in the cooperation zone that establish tourism, modern service industries, and high-tech industries and obtain new foreign direct investment income, enterprise income tax is exempted. For high-end talents and talents in short supply at home and abroad who work in the cooperation zone, the part of personal income tax that exceeds 15% is exempted.
In the exchange meeting, Albert Li, the CEO of Lingyange and a member of the Leading Talents Class (Eighth Phase), introduced to the entrepreneurs the company's development in Hengqin over the past three years. He shared his experience in terms of office environment, policy support, location and transportation, talent introduction, and industrial clustering to attract investment in Hengqin. "Lingyange has grown with Hengqin over the past three years. The subsidies for talents and preferential policies for enterprises in the cooperation zone have all been implemented." Albert Li said.
Albert Li also said that Lingyange has cooperated with Zhuhai Advanced Integrated Circuit Research Institute to organize this activity, hoping to attract more integrated circuit industry enterprises to enter Hengqin, understand Hengqin, and ultimately settle in Hengqin. This will also allow more industry talents to gather in Hengqin and promote economic and social development. At the same time, it strengthens the interaction and exchange among entrepreneurs in the Leading Talents Class to promote industrial development.
Gong Bin, President of Zhuhai Advanced Integrated Circuit Research Institute, said that currently, Hengqin is vigorously developing industries such as integrated circuits and electronic components. The planning is clear, and there is strong support for industrial development and talent introduction. Enterprises and talents settling in Hengqin have vast development space.
Zhang Zhendong, Secretary-General of the Production Talent Integration Special Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that he thanks the Hengqin government, relevant departments, and enterprises for their support of the inspection activities. Through the inspection visit, it was found that Hengqin is an environmentally friendly, pleasant climate, and vibrant city with obvious location advantages and an integrated circuit industry cluster. It is hoped that the entrepreneurs in the Leading Class will have more exchanges and cooperation with Hengqin in terms of industry to promote rapid development of China's integrated circuits.
On that day, the inspection group also visited Gree Electric Appliances, NASTAR (Beijing) Semiconductor Equipment Co., Ltd., Hengqin Exhibition Hall, and other places for inspection. On December 30-31, entrepreneurs from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Leading Talents Class in Integrated Circuit Industry and Application (Eighth Phase) also visited Zhuhai and Macao for general visits.
