Zhuhai Lingyange held the 2023 Spring Research Camp

Recently (February 20), the 2023 Spring Research Camp of Zhuhai Lingyange Semiconductor Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Lingyange") was launched in Hengqin Deep Cooperation Zone. Up to now, 16 undergraduate and graduate students from Macao University, Macao University of Science and Technology, Guangdong University of Technology, Zhuhai University of Science and Technology and other universities have participated in this research camp

At the opening ceremony, Albert Li, CEO of Lingyange, introduced the group profile and company situation to the students, explaining the company's business and corporate culture. Albert Li said that Foxconn Group is moving towards Foxconn 3.0, aiming to achieve its goals by developing new technologies and engaging in new industries. It is actively investing in three emerging industries: electric vehicles, digital health, and robots, as well as three new technology fields: artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and new-generation communication technology. The 3+3 combination is an important long-term development strategy for the group, providing complete solutions for global benchmarking customers and becoming a comprehensive provider of smart life.

Foxconn Group has integrated its semiconductor resources to establish the S Business Group to comply with the increasingly important global trend of semiconductors. Lingyange was established in June 2020 in Hengqin, Zhuhai. The company focuses on providing system chip needs within the Foxconn Group. The company provides complete chip design services, IP intellectual property development, wafer manufacturing outsourcing management, and complete solutions from system module design to channel sales. With rich resources in the upstream and downstream of the semiconductor industry and years of experience in serving high-end customers, Lingyange is committed to becoming a leading full-service chip design company in China. In less than three years, Lingyange has established a headquarters operation center in Zhuhai, R&D centers in Hengqin and Macao, and technical service teams in Shenzhen, Shanghai, Yantai, Taiwan, and other places. The company has more than 50% R&D personnel.

Albert Li pointed out that adhering to the corporate culture of"Customer, service, pragmatism, trust, learning, and improvement"company culture, the company has also actively practiced social responsibility in its rapid development. It has held several summer and spring chip design workshops, actively cultivating basic engineering talents for the industry. In the spring of 2023, the summer camp participants came from Macao, Zhuhai, Guangzhou and other places. They hoped that the participants would understand the corporate culture, learn professional skills, clarify their personal development path, and enter the chip field after graduation, so as to truly contribute to the chip industry in Macao, Zhuhai and Hong Kong.

Xu Hangxiao, a graduate student at the University of Macau, majored in mechanical engineering in his undergraduate studies and is currently pursuing a master's degree in software robotics, with a focus on mechanics and engineering. Upon learning about the research camp's experienced engineers and advanced comprehensive technical level, he signed up for the research camp. He hopes to learn about industry development opportunities outside of the mechanical engineering major through the research camp, and to choose a niche area that suits him during the research process, in preparation for employment after graduation.

Zhang Miaoxiang, a senior student from Guangdong University of Technology, majored in integrated circuit design and integrated system, and is currently in the job-hunting stage. Due to a lack of internship experience, she signed up for the study camp. She hopes to increase her understanding of the chip industry, enhance her professional skills, and position herself competitively and proactively in the market during the three-month study camp.

The participants of the workshop are mostly majored in integrated circuits, microelectronics, electronic information and other engineering majors. The workshop divides them into different internship platforms according to their majors and arranges different internship positions. During the three-month period of the workshop, the participants will receive dozens of professional courses such as chip design project management, IP Introduction, Digital Design Introduction, Intelligent Driving System and Image Technology Overview. In addition, the participants will participate in the news morning reading, exercise their reading and expression abilities in both Chinese and English, and understand the industry trends. They will also participate in project practice, combine theory with practice, and improve their project management abilities.

During the study camp, the students showed good learning attitude and mental outlook, fully grasped the opportunity to receive lectures from industry bigwigs and professional researchers, listened carefully, actively asked questions, and humbly consulted with the lecturers on professional issues.

The graduate students said that they would cherish the rare opportunity to study, combine the theoretical knowledge of the university with project practice, and make up for their shortcomings in the study camp, and strive to become an excellent chip engineer.
