On November 15th, the headquarters R&D center of Zhuhai Lingyange Chip Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Lingyange") was launched in the Hengqin-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone (hereinafter referred to as "Cooperation Zone"). It is understood that Lingyan Pavilion focuses on the development and design services of high-performance computing chips, automotive chips, and biomedical chips, and has launched an intelligent vision solution that integrates 3D-ToF (optical ranging 3D imaging method) and image sensors, which deeply empowers product customers in smart life, smart city, smart healthcare, and the concept of the metaverse. Based on the chip design service team of Foxconn, the enterprise provides integrated circuit enterprises with complete chip design services, IP development, wafer manufacturing outsourcing management, and complete solutions from system module design to channel sales.
The Lingyange headquarters R&D center located on Hengqin Finance Island is equipped with advanced chip development and design platforms and a team of senior industry talents. It will be based in Hengqin and will work closely with key universities and research institutions in the Greater Bay Area to carry out industry-university-research cooperation, from advanced and special process chip research and development, chip mass production to customized system development. Albert Li said, "As an enabler in the chip industry, the Hengqin headquarters R&D center will accommodate more R&D personnel after it is put into use, and will better provide comprehensive services for integrated circuit enterprises in the cooperation zone, enabling the cooperation zone's chip technology, digital health and smart city industries, and continue to contribute to the cooperation zone's integrated circuit industry.
Fu Yongge said in his speech that a number of high-quality integrated circuit enterprises such as Xin Yaohui Technology, Jihai Semiconductor and Xinchao Liquid were gathered in the cooperation zone, forming a preliminary industrial cluster. At the same time, Guangdong and Macao have cooperated frequently in the field of integrated circuits, with a total investment of 10 billion yuan in Guangdong-Macao Semiconductor Industry Investment Fund and 5 billion yuan in Wuyuefeng Guangdong Fund settled in Hengqin, which will help the cooperation zone attract high-quality resources by investment and promote the rapid development of the industry.
On July 25th this year, the Cooperation Zone issued the "Several Measures for Promoting the Development of Integrated Circuit Industry in Hengqin-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone", and since the issuance of the policy, nearly 30 integrated circuit enterprises have been added to the Cooperation Zone. Li Ziwei said that the integrated circuit industry has become one of the fastest growing industries in the Cooperation Zone.
Recently, Lingyan Pavilion and Zhuhai Auda Technology Research Institute jointly established a biomedical chip joint laboratory. Wei Mengyu, director of the Biomedical Engineering Laboratory of Macao University, said that Macao University has accumulated 20 years of experience in the fields of biomedicine and microelectronics, while Lingyan Pavilion has the driving force for the transformation of production, learning and research. The establishment of the joint laboratory hopes to industrialize the research results of Macao University through Lingyan Pavilion. It is planned to officially launch the research plan early next year.
"The joint laboratory will focus on the fields of smart healthcare and big health, and hopes to connect medical sensors to the Internet of Things through Internet of Things technology, build a health network, and pool medical resources to help solve health problems," said Wei Mengyu.
