LYG hand in hand with Blue Ocean Intelligence and Zhuhai Research Institute to participate in the 2023 World Semiconductor Conference

From July 19 to 21, the 2023 World Semiconductor Congress and Nanjing International Semiconductor Expo were held in Nanjing International Expo Center. Lingyange Semiconductor Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "LYG") jointly participated in the exhibition together with the cooperative enterprise Blue Ocean Intelligence and the cooperative university Zhuhai Macao University Science and Technology Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "Zhuhai Institute"), and displayed the company's products, solutions, and the joint research results of the three parties. CEO Albert Li was also invited to attend the EDA/IP Nuclear Industry Development Forum and gave a keynote speech on "High Performance Computing and High Reliability Chip Design and System Solution Customization".

The theme of this conference is "New Future with Chips as the Bond". It focuses on new markets, products, and technologies in the industry. Semiconductor experts, scholars, and representatives from leading companies are invited to closely follow cutting-edge hotspots, analyze market trends, explore frontier technologies, and bring the latest research results and viewpoints to contribute ideas for the development of the semiconductor industry. The conference adopts a "3+N+1" model, including main forums, parallel forums, special events, professional exhibitions, and other activities, with a total of more than 20 events.

A large-scale professional exhibition was also held during the conference, with an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters. It set up four key exhibition areas: IC design, packaging and testing, manufacturing, equipment and materials, as well as a talent zone. Exhibitors will showcase advanced technologies and high-end products in the semiconductor industry to the audience. The exhibition adopts a combination of online and offline modes, following the concept of "full network and wide channel" to promote the effective integration of technology products and business models.

At booth D27 in IC Design Exhibition Area, Hall 4, LYG displayed on-site high-reliability automotive MCU reference platform, AI acceleration board, RGB-D depth camera and other chip products, system module solutions, as well as customer Blue Ocean Intelligence's chip products BF400 and BD400, PCIe board products. The mainstream products and solutions of the two companies were promoted through product manuals, product videos, live interactive demonstrations and other forms.

MCU 

In 2022, LYG launched a 40nm RISC-V automotive microprocessor reference design platform with three highlights: modular design, simulation IP, and compliance with vehicle regulations. Modular design: With a shared interface design, customers can also conduct secondary development based on LYG's existing MCU development platform and reuse existing designs. Simulation IP: High-performance simulation IP such as a 16-bit high-precision ADC, DAC, and high-accuracy clock generator are included. At the same time, various design elements are added to improve the anti-interference of analog devices, ensure signal processing stability, and can be applied to efficient and reliable automotive and industrial electronic systems. Compliance with vehicle regulations: Designed in accordance with the ISO26262 automotive safety standard, it supports Dual Core Lockstep vehicle-level RISC-V CPU.LYG also provides certification guidance for vehicle regulations ISO26262 to speed up the certification process.

AI Acceleration Board 

The AI acceleration board is an AI acceleration computing solution based on the world's first GPGPU chip by customer Blue Ocean Intelligence, which is built on a novel Chiplet architecture. The innovative Chiplet system architecture design features ultra-low power consumption, high-speed serial interfaces, and support for OpenCL and mainstream AI framework models. LPDDR4x can meet system requirements with about 1/3 of the overall cost of HBM2 and 80% energy consumption; it also has a high-performance computing engine that meets the demands of both cloud and edge applications with highly parallel computing. The deep RPNN design improves computational and power efficiency, while accelerating big data scenarios such as medical imaging, shortening lengthy biomedical imaging times like H-Scan for tumor diagnosis. It offers low cost, high computing power, and reduces HPC data analysis time. Currently, LYG is jointly developing a new generation of ultrasound imaging diagnostic acceleration systems with Zhuhai Research Institute. This system employs novel ultrasound imaging algorithms based on the microscopic scattering structure of tumor tissue cells to assist in distinguishing liver diseases or benign and malignant tumors, shorten medical image processing time, and improve real-time diagnostic capabilities.

At the booth, the staff of LYG and Blue Ocean Intelligence introduced the company's development situation to the leaders, guests and businessmen who came to visit the exhibition, and had in-depth exchanges on the technical characteristics and application fields of the products, which won wide acclaim from the visitors.

At the EDA/IP Core Industry Development Forum, LYG's CEO Albert Li was invited to give a keynote speech on "High Performance Computing and High Reliability Chip Design and System Solution Customization". Albert Li stated that the HPC market size has grown from $36.8 billion in 2021 to $56.8 billion in 2027, with a CAGR of 7.5%. High-performance IP is mainly used in fields such as 5G, AI (IoT, smart cities, vehicle networking, communications), metaverse, AR/VR, etc. LYG's high-performance solutions use high-performance computing chips and are equipped with proprietary process variation analysis software developed by LYG, featuring customization and high-performance IP. PMAP is a combination of hardware and software chip process parameter analysis platform that can help customers review process parameters and improve chip performance and yield. LYG's high-performance IP solutions have been successfully applied in products such as cryptocurrency and 5G chips.

High-reliability IP is mainly used in aerospace, automotive, defense, and other fields. The market forecast predicts that the high-reliability semiconductor market will grow at a CAGR of 5.7% from 2022 to 2029. LYG's high-reliability IP solutions use thick gate oxide cell libraries, dual inner plug cell libraries, and radiation resistance, with low power consumption, low leakage, and other features, and can be applied in automotive, aerospace, medical, and other fields.

At this conference, the "2023 Global Semiconductor Industry Development and Market Freedom Country Ranking Research Report" was also released for the first time.
