On February 8, the joint laboratory of Zhuhai University of Technology Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "Zhuhai Research Institute") and Zhuhai Lingyan Pavilion Chip Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Lingyange") was officially unveiled. The two parties will jointly build a digital health application research platform, a smart city application research platform, a chip design service support platform, and an engineering talent cultivation platform, exploring the industrialization potential of advanced chip products in the two key areas of frontier biomedical and smart city.
According to reports, Lingyan Pavilion is one of the companies set up by Foxconn Semiconductor Business Group in Hengqin. It is a professional chip design service company, focusing on the research and development of high-end process integrated circuit design, providing customers with one-stop services from chip design to system integration. It was established in Hengqin in June 2020, and currently has a team of more than 100 people, with more than 50% of R&D personnel and a revenue of over 100 million yuan. Its headquarters R&D center was officially launched on Hengqin Financial Island in November last year.
As the first industry university research demonstration base set up by the University of Macau in the Greater Bay Area, Zhuhai Research Institute has established five R&D centers, namely microelectronics, smart city, Chinese medicine, translational medicine and advanced materials, relying on the research strength of three State Key Laboratory and advantageous discipline institutes of the University of Macau. It has been committed to promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, helping scientific and technological development and industrial upgrading, and continues to add impetus to the development of Hengqin Guangdong Macao in-depth cooperation zone, It is an important pivot for building an international science and technology innovation center in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.
